One thing I love about Joe is that he has this incredible ability to bring people together in the Senate. While so many people would cut each other down, Joe would bring them to the table, sometimes literally. He and his colleagues would gather around the picnic table in our backyard, talking and debating because Joe always understood. If you're just trying to score points for your party, there's no need to actually talk to the other guys. But if you're trying to get things done, toe really make things better for working people. You have to find common ground. Our country feels more divided now than at any other point in my lifetime way. Need someone to remind us how to look for the best in each other, how to find solutions that can work for us all. I can't think of a better person for the job than Joe.
